About Mumbai Waste Management Ltd


Mumbai Waste Management Limited (MWML), Taloja, Dist. Raigad belongs to Re Sustainability Limited and started its operations in October 2002 as a world class Treatment, Storage, Disposal Facility (CHWTSDF) to manage Hazardous & Bio Medical waste disposal. The project was awarded by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to Re Sustainability Limited through global tendering and is set up on an area of about 100 acres.


The facility has Temporary waste stores, Intractable waste stores, Secured landfill, Stabilization/treatment facility and an Incinerator with 100% power backup facilities.


The nominal capacities are

Secured Landfill - 1, 20,000 MT/A,
Stabilization / Treatment - 60,000 MT/A and
Incineration - 30,000 MT/A.


Transportation of Hazardous & Bio Medical Waste is arranged by MWML with help of specially designed vehicles.


The facility is equipped with a Hi Tech laboratory enabling comprehensive analysis of solid waste, water and waste water. It is well equipped with all sophisticated instruments required for the analysis prescribed by governing authorities. The laboratory monitors periodically the ground water, surface water, air, noise, soil and stack emissions within its premises.


MWML is certified for
